The People Behind California Asthma Partner
To form California Asthma Partners, California Breathing, in partnership with an ad-hoc planning committee, recruited a multidisciplinary team of high-level asthma leaders throughout the state to participate on the California Asthma Partners Steering Committee. Created in June 2004, the purpose of the committee has been to help to guide implementation of the Strategic Plan for Asthma in California by coordinating efforts throughout the state. Partners on the committee include representatives from the fields of medicine, education, advocacy, research and policy
CAP welcomes new asthma leaders on the Steering Committee. The Steering Committee membership strives to reflect and represent the asthma interests, geography and diversity of California. In addition to the Steering Committee, hundreds of stakeholders have been involved with CAP via its website and database.
