The Air Resources Board and the American Lung Association have created a Fact Sheet with information on causes, effects and solutions for air pollution problems. New research shows that although much has been done in California to clean the air, we are still ranked among the worst states in air quality, leading to premature deaths, hospitalizations, respiratory illnesses, school absences, and lost work days, into the thousands.
